Belief in all the Prophets of God

messengers

This Messenger of Ours believes in that which has been revealed to him from his Lord, and so do the believers: all of them believe in Allah, and in His angels, and in His Books, and in His Messengers, saying, ‘We make no distinction between any of His Messengers.’ (2:286)

Muslims believe in all the Prophets of God, including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Prophet Muhammad (peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him).

God doesn’t burden anyone beyond his capacity

burden

Allah burdens not any soul beyond its capacity. (2:287)

The commandments of God are always given with due regard for human capacities and weaknesses.

All that man is expected to do is to sincerely strive after good, and avoid sin, to the best of his power, and the rest will be forgiven him by the Merciful God.

Some prayers to God

image

O Lord, everything is Your servant. O Lord, protect me, help me, and have mercy on me.

prayer2

Our Lord, grant us good in this world as well as good in the world to come, and protect us from the torment of the Fire. (2:202)

prayer3

My Lord, make me constant in observing Prayer, and my children too. Our Lord! bestow Thy grace on me and accept my prayer. Our Lord! forgive me and my parents and the believers on the day when the reckoning will take place. (14:41-42)

prayer4

Our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or fall into error, and our Lord, lay not on us a responsibility as Thou didst lay upon those before us. Our Lord, burden us not with what we have not the strength to bear; and efface our sins and grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us; Thou art our Master; so help us against the disbelieving people. (2:287)

The following prayer was said by Prophet Noah before embarking on the Ark. It can be used when traveling or driving.

travel

In the name of Allah be its moving and its stopping. My Lord is assuredly Most Forgiving, Merciful. (11:42)

Islam is the true religion

islam

Surely, the true religion with Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Book did not disagree but after knowledge had come to them, out of mutual envy. And whoso denies the Signs of Allah, then surely, Allah is Quick at reckoning. (3:20)

All religions inculcate belief in the Oneness of God and submission to His Will, yet it is only in Islam (which means complete submission) that the idea of submission to God’s Will has found its consummation; for complete submission requires complete manifestation of God’s attributes, and it is in Islam alone that such manifestation has taken place. So of all religious systems, Islam alone deserves to be called God’s own religion in the real sense of the term.

All true religions were indeed more or less Islam in their original form, and their adherents Muslims in the literal sense of the term, but not till the time when religion became complete in all its different aspects was it given the name of Al-Islam, which was reserved for the final Dispensation perfected in the Holy Quran.

islam

This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favor upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion. (5:4)

Everything in the universe will be destroyed

destroyed

All that is on it will pass away. And there will remain only the Person of thy Lord, Master of Glory and Honor. (55:27-28)

The whole universe is subject to decay and death, and eventually is destined to perish. God alone will abide because He is Self-Subsisting, All-Sustaining, Independent and Besought of all.

perish

And call not on any other God beside Allah. There is no God but He. Everything will perish but He. His is the judgment, and to Him will you all be brought back. (28:89)

What is God

God

Allah – there is no God but Him, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.

Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep.

To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth.

Who is he that will intercede with Him except by His permission?

He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He pleases.

His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth; and the care of them burdens Him not; and He is the High, the Great. (2:256)

subduer    Al-Jabbar (59:24)

Those who do not believe in God

In the Holy Quran it says:

disbelieve

Those who look not for the meeting with Us and are content with the life of this world and feel at rest therewith, and those who are heedless of Our Signs – It is these whose abode is Fire, because of what they earned. (10:8,9)

disbelievers

As for those who do not believe in the Signs of Allah, surely Allah will not guide them, and they shall have a grievous punishment. (16:105)

blindly

As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds appear beautiful to them, so they are wandering blindly. (27:5)

blind

And whosoever will turn away from My remembrance, his will be a straitened life, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him up blind. (20:125)

A person who consigns God to oblivion in this life, and leads a life which obstructs or impedes his spiritual development and growth, and thus deprives himself of heavenly light, will be born blind at the time of his second birth in the after life.

This will be because his soul in this life (which serves as a body for the much more spiritually developed soul in the next world) had become blind on account of his having led a sinful and depraved life in this world.

blind

But whoso is blind in this world will be blind in the Hereafter, and even more astray from the way. (17:73)
